How ranking works

When you don't choose a sort, inns are ordered by how complete their page is (more photos first) and then alphabetically. Once bookings and reviews exist, inns with rooms free for your dates will come first, then review score, then page completeness.

"Price" uses each inn's lowest nightly room price. "Distance" measures from the point you chose or the centre of the map.

At launch there is none. If we ever offer paid placement, it will be marked "Featured" or "Sponsored" wherever it appears and will never change the "Recommended" order silently.

Every inn pays the same flat monthly fee for its listing. We take no commission on bookings, so an inn's position on this site never depends on how much it pays us.

Inn owners who believe their inn is ranked unfairly can write to us; we answer within 14 days.
