About the inn

Gasthaus Staude stands on its own in a green valley of the Black Forest, about fifteen minutes' drive from Triberg. The Fleig family runs the inn: eleven guest rooms, renovated in 2022, and a restaurant that has drawn locals and travelers for years. Every room looks out over forest and meadow, and walking and biking trails start at the door.

Chef Rolf Fleig cooks the food of the Black Forest and the Swabian Alb: cold cuts, fresh trout and game in season. Breakfast is a large buffet with eggs cooked to order and homemade jams. In the afternoon there are fruit and cream cakes, including a three-layer Black Forest gâteau when available. Hotel guests can add a three-course half-board dinner. In summer, meals are served on the terrace overlooking the valley.
